Lions International Foundation (LCIF)

Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) is the fundraising arm of Lions International.

LCIF supports those in need through humanitarian services and grants for projects around the world. 
LCIF is funded by Lions and Well Wishers from around the World

The Leo Program of Lions International offers young people aged 12 to 3O i.e. "Leos" an opportunity to  develop confidence and organization skills through hands-on experience as community volunteers.

Leo club membership teaches teamwork, fellowship and camaraderie.

District 411A Mega Projects

Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital , Nairobi Kenya

The Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital is a major project of the Lions of District 411A. The hospital in Nairobi,Kenya began operations in 1997 and was co-funded by LCIF. The hospital is ran independently with its own Board of Management (BOM) .The hospital has served millions of people and offers medical services for the treatment of eye ailments, diabetes, ENT, dental and has a full service laboratory.


Carter Foundation Partnership-Ethiopia

Ethiopia has the highest rate of blindness in the world. The LCIF/Carter Center Ethiopia Trachoma Control Program has targeted the regions hardest hit by Trachoma. They use the WHO recommended SAFE strategy: Surgery, Antibiotic treatment, Facial cleanliness, and Environmental improvement, to fight blindness from Trachoma.  Among others Funding has been provided by LCIF and antibiotics donated by Pfizer.

Lions Clubs International (LCI) emphasizes 5 Global Service Causes that is Diabetes, Vision, Environment, Childhood Cancer and Hunger

Lions and Leos provide support for the needs of children and families affected by childhood cancer through impactful service activities.

We serve to reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve quality of life for those diagnosed.
